Thank you to everyone - visitors, hotel guests and locals - for coming out for our Community Celebration & Street Party yesterday, September 1.
From 5:00 until 7:00pm Glenwood Street was packed with people enjoying food prepared by our Silver Dollar Bar & Grill, Snake River Brewery beer and wine provided by Cinder Winery.
During the 2 hours there was a steady line to meet local author, Charlie Craighead, who was signing 75th Anniversary limited editions of our "Meet Me at The Wort" book along with photographer David Swift. On stage General Manager Jim Waldrop introduced Wort Hotel owner Bill Baxter, Jeff Golightly CEO of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and concluded with Jackson Mayor Sara Flitner reading the Proclamation marking this historic 75-year anniversary occasion. After speeches, the beautiful cake that our Executive Chef John Clover created earlier in the day was served. The revelry continued in downtown Jackson until 7:00pm when the party moved into The Silver Dollar Showroom to dance to local band Major Zephyr. It was a party worthy of 75 years!
