Jackson 6 is a New Orleans-style jazz-ensemble. The tunes jump from traditional jazz, to bluegrass, with a pop vibe thrown in for good measure. Band leader John Kidwell said, "We (Jackson 6) likes to play music inspired by Bob Wills, Louis Armstrong, Bill Monroe, Duke Ellington, Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons, Guns N' Roses, to name a few. There could not be a more schizophrenic way of going about playing American music".
