On Saturday, November 4th the Wort Hotel will be transformed back to the lawless times of gambling throughout the hotel and gun slingers roamed the halls along with saloon girls. The costume-themed Casino Night will benefit for the local Rotary Club of Jackson Hole Foundation to raise money for local student scholarships. Gamblers can quench their thirst with fun themed-cocktails and wine and will dine on an array of appetizers and buffets all donated by Nicholas & Company Inc., Food Service.
There will be a roulette table, black jack tables, and a craps table that can be found throughout the bar and grill. All guests will receive fun money to gamble with and enjoyed trying their luck at one of the many games. If gambling is not your thing, there a plenty of door prizes and a silent auction items to provide other diversions for the night. In the bar, Jackson 6 will provide musical entertainment until the late hours of the night.
Later in the night, The General Manager, Jim Waldrop, will kick off the live auction which will feature two paintings –one by Amy Ringholz and the other is to be determined. The auction will also feature a trip to Hawaii’s Big Island. Last year the event had raised over $150,000 for local student scholarships.
Prizes will also go to the “Best Dressed Gambler”, so be sure to dress to impress. Check out some of last year’s outfits for inspiration.
We want to go ahead and thank all of our sponsors and guests who are attending and helping out with this fundraising event. Last year, the party was dubbed “the best party of the year in Jackson Hole”, we hope to keep that reputation again this year.
