8:45am- 28th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk sponsored by St. John’s Medical Center - The non-competitive division begins at 8:45am and the competitive division starts at 9:15am. Youth ages 10 and under are invited to participate in the Lil’ Gobblers event. Run with the costumed turkey on this short course in the recreation center parking lot. This event will begin once the 5K run/walk is finished. This event has been cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns.
11:00am- The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill, located inside The Wort Hotel, will be serving a traditional plated Thanksgiving Day meal all day from 11am-8pm. The meal is a 3 course meal with soup or salad to start, followed by your choice of turkey, prime rib, ham or meatloaf, served with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans, then ending with a dessert. Plate is $30/person, $20 for kids (12 or younger) and $20 for seniors (65 and older). Reservations are required.
Friday, November 27
9:00am- Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 26th) marks Opening Day at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Come rip it up for early turns of the season! Lifts will open at 9am, weather permitting. For daily updates, please visit their Snow Report page. Be sure to visit Jackson Hole Mountain Resort's website as certain operations have changed. All tickets will be sold through an online advanced ticket purchasing system for day and afternoon tickets. They have established a maximum daily capacity for guests at JHMR and will limit the number of tickets available for purchase each day to enable sufficient physical distancing in our base area, buildings and facilities to keep guests safe.
5:00pm- Jackson Hole Town Square Lighting Ceremony presented by the Jackson Hole Chamber - Jackson Hole shops prepare for the holidays and Santa will drive around Jackson in a firetruck, ringing in the holiday season in his favorite mountain town! The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce kindly asks families NOT to gather on Town Square on November 27. To avoid a large gathering and the spread of Covid-19, we ask that you participate in Town Square Lighting on November 27 from home or online. At 5 PM the Town Square lights will come on! Watch online here. If you wish to see the holiday lights in person, you may do so any time after November 27 after dark. Any time when visiting downtown Jackson, please practice social distancing and always wear a dry face covering.
